Endometrial Receptivity Analysis (ERA) is a genetic microarray that analyzes more than 200 genes related to the endometrium to find the best time for implantation of an embryo.
Embryo implantation requires a good embryo and a receptive endometrium. The specific time when the endometrium is receptive to the embryo is called the "Window of implantation (WOI)". Generally speaking, the window of implantation is the 19th to 21st day of the menstrual cycle, which is equivalent to the 5th to 7th day after ovulation. During the window of implantation, the endometrium undergoes changes in cell type, structure, and function. However, studies have shown that about 30% of women do not fall within this window. Some women's fertile window is pushed back or forward 1-2 days, and the length of time the window is open varies from woman to woman. Therefore, in addition to a good quality embryo, the endometrium also plays an important role in successful fertilization.
